Sterling Silver & Hawk’s Eye Quartz Bolo Tie

$265.00

Toss that necktie and get a Bolo Tie. One of the things we love most about the Bolo Tie is that it’s versatile—more so than a traditional men’s necktie. Bolo Ties are easy to wear and don’t require complicated knots. You can dress them up, dress them down, and everything in between. There is no right or wrong way to wear a Bolo Tie as long as you wear it with confidence!

    Description

This eye catching Bolo Tie has braided black leather and a hand forged sterling silver clasp featuring stunning, shimmering Hawk’s Eye Quartz. The clasp has die struck sterling silver Conchos surrounding the stone, the outer edge has a polished hammered texture, a mechanical clasp on the back, and sterling silver beaded tipped tie ends. Together, all of these elements come together to make an absolutely spectacular piece!

A die-struck object is produced by striking metal with a (very big!) hammer against a die with a design engraved in it. The hammer forces the metal into every crevice of the die cavity, and the metal forms into the shape of the die cavity.

Hawk’s Eye Quartz is a blue-gray to blue-green opaque gemstone variety of fibrous quartz famed for its chatoyancy, which is an optical reflectance effect that produces vertical, shimmering bands, reminiscent of the ‘eye of a hawk’. It is closely related to Tiger’s Eye and Pietersite, both of which exhibit similar chatoyancy. Hawk’s Eye is believed to be a stone of protection, often used by travelers. It can also be used to help protect against the negative energy of others.

You say you’d love to have a Bolo Tie but aren’t sure how to wear one? The traditional way to wear a Bolo Tie is to dress it up with a suit and collared shirt, just swap the necktie for a Bolo. Go business casual with a suit jacket or blazer, dark denim jeans, and collared shirt with the top button undone and wear the Bolo clasp loosened to the third button. Or, swap the blazer for a leather or denim jacket, keeping the collared shirt unbuttoned at the top and the Bolo clasp loosened so it sits around the 3rd button of your shirt and pair it with dark indigo or black jeans and cowboy or similar western heeled boots for a mix of contemporary style. There is no right or wrong way to wear a Bolo Tie as long as you wear it with confidence!
