This Bolo Tie has braided black leather and the sterling silver clasp features an Abolone (Paua Shell) cabochon and fine silver granulation accents. Granulation is the controlled process of melting tiny bits of metal into granules or tiny balls and fusing them to jewelry and has been utilized for thousands of years. The the outer edge of the clasp has a hand hammered texture and hand forged sterling silver tie slides on the back. Sterling silver beaded tipped tie ends add the finishing touch.
The vibrational frequency of Abalone is reported to be calming and harmonizing. It promotes one’s intuition, clarity in one’s perspective, sensitivity to oneself and others, and self-awareness. Abalone will cleanse the negative energy in any space after emotional or traumatic events, it relieves anxiety and aids in emotional balance.
You say you’d love to have a Bolo Tie but aren’t sure how to wear one? The traditional way to wear a Bolo Tie is to dress it up with a suit and collared shirt, just swap the necktie for a Bolo. Go business casual with a suit jacket or blazer, dark denim jeans, and collared shirt with the top button undone and wear the Bolo clasp loosened to the third button. Or, swap the blazer for a leather or denim jacket, keeping the collared shirt unbuttoned at the top and the Bolo clasp loosened so it sits around the 3rd button of your shirt and pair it with dark indigo or black jeans and cowboy or similar western heeled boots for a mix of contemporary style. There is no right or wrong way to wear a Bolo Tie as long as you wear it with confidence!
